Our Bees
Star Gazer Farm specialises in organic beekeeping and bee products for over 30 years. Our farm currently has over 15 hives. We rehome local swarming bees as well as offer educational courses.
Bee Products
Our honey is raw and unfiltered, produced and extracted locally in the Barrington Coast.
Our honey is as pure, hand harvested, manually prepared and cold extracted. Minimal filtering gives you a natural product that has all the taste and goodness that nature intended.
The taste of our honey will not compare to mass produced supermarket branded honey as we don’t blend batches. We keep each batch harvested separate so you can taste the different flora the bees have been collecting nectar from. This will change season to season depending on what native plants are flowering at the time.
Bee Care
We look after our bees foccusing on the wellbeing and happiness of the hive, ensuring we provide the best environment for them to thrive.
The hives are surrounded by native bushland so that our bees have an abundance of space and native flowers.
Hand Extraction
Our raw honey is extracted by hand without the use of heat. This ensures that it contains the propolis, wax and pollen produced by the bees during their natural honey-making process.
Raw Honey Benefits
Raw honey that is heated above 40 degrees becomes pasteurised, losing its natural flavour and positive health properties. Our honey maintains its antibacterial and nutritious qualities. it is as pure as nature intended, with the proteins, flavonoids, and amino fatty acids intact.
